At present , the typical routing protocols are all the least hops routing, and only provide the "best efforts" services. The energy aware problems and how to make good use of resource in wireless network are not considered, which may make great influence on network performance. That is a prominent problem of MANET routing protocols. So that the paper makes anaysis on some routing protocols based on energy control, and then compares the perfomances of energy consumption of DSDV、AODV、DSR based on NS2.On the basis of working over the mechanism of energy saving on nerwork layer , the paper analyzes energy consumption characteristic of DSR and serval exsiting routing algorithms of energy control based on DSR . We improve the energy saving performance of classic DSR , and then make the performance comparision between the improved algorithm and DSR by simulating with NS2. The result of simulation shows that the improved algorithm can effectively save the average energy consumption and prolong the network' s lifetime.
